Member Spotlight: Tara's Natural Hair Journey

I started my natural hair journey almost two years ago and it was the best decision I ever made for my hair!
I grew up with natural hair that was super thick and long. My mom could barely comb my hair and by the time I was eight years old, she began to straighten it with hot combs (the type that sat on the stove top to be heated). I had to hold my ears as the hot comb passed through my hair and was scared I would get burned everytime. Although, I loved the silky look and seeing my hair hang past my shoulders, I hated getting it straightened with a hot comb.

When I hit my teenage years, I was finally at an age where I could decide what to do with my hair. However, I couldn't manage my hair because it was too thick, so relaxers became my only choice. These relaxers thinned out my hair and took its length over a period of time. In my 20's, I got my hair cut every summer and grew it back when winter approached. Being a single mom, hair salons were not on my to-do list, hence my short hair was more manageable.
Now in my 30's, I decided to go natural because my husband doesn't like weave and I had damaged my hair over the years. When I decided to let my hair grow, flat irons were my best friend but my hair's enemy. Over time, I damaged my hair with too much heat and was so over it. I tried to go natural the first time and went six months without relaxers.  But with working, kids, and a husband, I felt overwhelmed with my hair and went back to them.

My second attempt with going natural was successful because I never returned to relaxers. I didn't want to do the big chop, so I just let my hair grow out and trimmed my ends until there was no more relaxer left. When I was completely natural, I struggled with dryness so bad, I was thinking of going back to relaxers. That thought didn't last long though, as I began my search for products that would help. Unfortunately, nothing was working well enough. I found products that would moisturize but not for long. Once I stepped out into the world, humidity would cause it to dry and frizz up.
I saw a post from a friend saying how NaturAll Club had the best products, especially for dry hair. So I became curious, but skeptical at the same time because I had tried so many products (my bathroom looked like a hair store). I ordered the Full Avocado Collection in spite of my doubts and I am so thankful that I did. I have used it for three weeks now and I see tremendous change in my hair. Not only does it stay moisturized. it has also grown a few inches. In conclusion, NaturAll Club has the best products I have ever used and I would recommend it to anyone.

Muhga Eltigani

After years of using products that left her hair dry, damaged, and dull, Muhga Eltigani decided to chop off her hair and start over. For 6 months, she committed to using only natural ingredients on her hair- foods from her fridge and the grocery store with names she recognized, like avocados, olive oil, coconut, baking soda, and even eggs. She found support through an online community of women like her, sharing recipes and ingredients on Youtube.
