I have 4c hair and this edge control didn't even last 15mins. In the a.m I used it then ate breakfast by the time I made it inside my car it wore off. For the price I thought it would have held my edges in place. It smells amazing but did not work for me. I would not buy again.

This product has chemicals in it that are not healthy and are skin irritants. I did not expect that it would have these ingredients and used the product without reading the label for the ingredients. Within SECONDS of putting the gel on, my edges were on fire!!!!! This is a NO for me!!!!

I don’t love that it does hold all day so this photo is after a few hours and I put Coconut Oil eco styler on my edges on top of the black edge control. Other than that it’s a good product!

This was an awesome purchase. I’ve been looking for an edge control to really control my edges without the white look and this is it. I still haven’t used this product by itself as I initially bought the yogurt version of this product and didn’t want to let the purchase go to waste so I layer the two. I use the yogurt one as a base and to get my edges laid then I go back with the Black to tint. It’s been working wonders on my hair and I’ve been getting compliments.

It smells amazing like candy and fruit lol and it's great for twist/braid outs/beads (I like to use it on my ends) :) it doesn't stain anything and it's easy to wash out and it isn't sticky even when it's dry and no flakes! I have a few greys so alil of this goes a long way for those sneaky greys of mine. I let my family try some of this and a few other products from here and now I have to hide everything now! So be careful with this "natural hair hook up" it also works friendly with the other products here and sorry about the photo I wish I would of got a photo before I took all the twist out and waited a few days before remembering to share lol.

This product was highly anticipated for its arrival...I have salt and pepper hair color and my edges are mostly grey hair. Grey hair is super stubborn and I was intrigued that this product could lay down my edges and add a bit of color to camouflage. It did NOT work on my hair. I have 4C hair and afterI laid it on the edges before leaving for work in the morning, tied it with a 'do' rag and took it off...all looked good...until about 12pm when not a trace of the color was left and my edges weren't looking laid at all. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I wound up having to use another product that I thankfully had.
Your company doesn't offer refunds and I really can't honestly recommend this to anyone else.
So this purchase for me was a bust and waste of $19!

I believe that the black edge control should be a strong hold just like the clear one is .This product would be perfect! The black one gets soft fast and I find myself mixing it with the clear one that is a maximum hold.Make the black one a strong hold as well!

A good edge control that doesn't damage your edges is the hardest thing to find! I had to get used to the black color but after brushing it in, the color dissipates. It provides a nice hold throughout the day and doesn't contain alcohol. I would like to try the other edge control to see which one suits my hair type better but overall I'm happy.

The problem with it I purchase it it for my aunt and it doesn't last she has to constantly reapply it. Even with reapplying it never completely covers her gray in the front. The only thing I will say about it is at least it's not where the color black rubs off on your hands or clothes. It's also not too sticky feeling , but you have to put so much on you know you can feel it but it's still better than other gels in that perspe respect .

So I'm still in transition faze and I refuse to do the big chop so I clip, wash and style as I go. Flaxseed did and does wonders in my hair when trying to put my type 4b hair in a ponytail. As you can see Flaxseed laced my pony to the T.
I also use it on my daughter and husband's hair, they have super frizz and it works wonders that last more than 1 week.

I have used many edge control however, this is indeed my favorite. I have thinned edges and I have to be careful about what I put on my edges because of this. This flaxseed edge control not only tamed my edges, provided a camouflage with the black tint, but it gave moisture to my edges. That was more important to me and you all nailed it!
