I expected it to be a silicone brush or something softer than hard plastic. I'm worried it will rip my hair out so I have stopped using it. it doesn't feel like a faster detangling method than my old large tooth plastic comb

I know these kind of detangling brushes are all the rage now, but I actually didn't care for this one. I prefer my previous detangling brush. For me, this brush was no easier than just using a wide tooth comb. I actually thought I might break it at one point! Haha

This is new to me and was free with my purchase but I would gladly pay for it because this was the fastest and painless wash day detangle ever! Literally no pain so I feel it would be great for kids. If anything ever happens to this brush I will gladly pay to get it back. Also attached photo of what came with the brush can anyone tell me what it's for?
