Terrifying Thursday: Maggie's Hair Horror Story

Next up in our series is another spooky hair story! This week, we have Maggie who has quite a scary story to share with us.

regrowing burnt hair

Hi, I’m Maggie! My horror story happened a long, long time ago. I was probably around 10 years old, maybe even younger. I was sitting at my desk doing my homework alone. I had all my papers, books, a water bottle, some food, and a candle on the table with me. I was super focused on my homework and everything was perfectly normal.

Then, my sister walked into the room. Right away she yelled at me, “Maggie! Your hair is on fire!” I was so focused on studying that I must have moved too close to the candle without realizing it. We both panicked at first but she quickly helped me put it out. Luckily, the fire didn’t touch my scalp - which explains why I never felt any physical pain - but, it still burnt a good amount of my hair off.

After that happened, my burnt hair didn’t grow for years. It was so frustrating. At the time, I didn’t know what natural hair was, but if I’d known about NaturAll Club, I could have definitely used some products to help me out. Especially the Jamaican Black Castor Oil Growth Serum, specifically made to help hair grow back faster and thicker.

faster natural hair growth

After recovering from the hair burning incident, healthy hair became a priority of mine. Currently I have an amazing hair regimen! I cleanse my hair with NaturAll Club’s Cleansing Avocado Shampoo, use the Fresh Avocado Deep Conditioner for moisture retention, and the Nourishing Avocado Leave-In Conditioner to control frizz and add shine. My go-to style is a twist with the Extreme Hold Flaxseed Gel Edge Control with Yogurt and Pure Avocado Oil.

To any other naturals struggling with growth: Be patient!I know that it can be frustrating to grow it out, especially because some people go natural and within months already have a big poof. But don’t be discouraged, know your hair is getting healthier and that growth will come with time.
